Ms. Yang has been teaching Chinese for 10 years. She grew up in Taipei City, Taiwan and completed her BA degree in University of California, Irvine. She achieved her Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mandarin Chinese from California State University, Long Beach. Ms. Yang was the teacher of Startalk the national foreign language program in Southern California in 2008 and 2009.
The teaching strategies used in Ms. Yang’s language class are Contextualized Language Instruction, Project Based Learning and Performance Based Assessment to reach the goal of practical, meaningful and functional language learning.
